DONATIONS
NEEDED FOR CAPTAIN
JACKS MEDICAL BILL
We
are asking for donations
to help us pay for
Jacks stitches.
Here
are two photos of
Jack. Left one is before
his attack.
Right one is a day
after the stitches
were put in when we
brought him home
from the vet.
It looks good here,
but he was in
so much pain and
it looked
so bad. About
6 inches
of jagged open
cuts
on his scalp,
a hole under his
chin, a 1 inch
deep cut on his
lip and another
cut under his
left front leg.
All in all, I would
say about 30-40
stitches. Still
trying to recoup
from this $750
bill. This small animal
vet would not take
monthly installments.
We no longer use
that vet. Came out
to about $30 per
stitch and wasn't
even during emergency
hours. I am so
disappointed
in this. Everyone's
donation will
be GREATLY appreciated.
Times are hard
enough right now...................
HIGH
SCHOOL
"HARMONY
FOR HORSES"
FUND
RAISER
Thank
you to the English
class of Mrs. Steiert,
from Harmony High
School for having
a “Pennies
for Ponies”
Donation
drive. Her English
class was phenomenal
in saving loose
change
and donating it
to help horses.
The
kids had a great
Pizza Party for
their efforts.
We
will continue to
work with our local
schools in doing
donations and fund
raising to give
Hope to Horses.
I
know times are
tough
everywhere, but
these kids managed
to find loose change
to make
a difference
in a horses life.
Interested
in donating to
Second
Hope Ranch? We
really
need everyone's
help
in our efforts
and
you can donate
by
going to our Web
Site and sending
a donation through
PayPal. We
spoke in front
of a few classes,
explaining to them
the importance of
helping horses in
need. We had a
terrific day with
the kids asking
lots of questions.
We are working
towards
the schools in
this
area putting on
a
"Pennies
for Ponies"
program,
in order to get
money collected
to continue helping
Second Hope Ranch
fulfill our dreams
of helping horses
in need that are
abused and neglected.
We are asking that
the classroom save
loose change and
place it in our
donation jar each
day for two weeks.
At the end of two
weeks,
we tally the amount
and purchase something
for the ranch. We
hope that kids
can
find loose change
around that may
not seem to be
much
to alot of folks,
but adding up those
pennies and loose
change could mean
the difference
between
saving the life
of a horse, or
giving
them a much needed
meal or a safe
and
secure home .We'll
let you know how
our progress goes
with the first
new Fund Raising
program for 2009.
Anyone interested
in having their
school participate
in our program,
please let us
know. We can come
to your
school and discuss
the program with
your teachers and
classmates. If
you are not in this
area, please send
me the contact
information
to your local School
Board so that I
may present this
to them.
Thank
you!
We
have lots more coming,
so keep in touch.
